Today we learned about the letter u, the color blue and the number 1. We practiced the Zones of Regulation (Green- happy, content, feeling okay, Blue- sad, sick, tired, Yellow- frustrated, excited, worried, and Red- out of control, mad). Students are trying to verbalize how we are feeling and what strategies we can use if we are not in the green zone. We are also becoming experts with our turn and talks. We also used water color paints for the first time. We tried to paint self-portraits!
We used the iPads again today. We introduced the app Epic and the students were able to pick books to listen to and read. Reading is SO MUCH FUN! The Epic app is an app that Burlington Public Schools uses in most elementary classrooms. Information about Epic will be sent home at the end of the program.
