Today we learned about the letter u, the color blue and the number 1. We practiced the Zones of Regulation (Green- happy, content, feeling okay, Blue- sad, sick, tired, Yellow- frustrated, excited, worried, and Red- out of control, mad). Students are trying to verbalize how we are feeling and what strategies we can use if we are not in the green zone. We are also becoming experts with our turn and talks.
We welcomed Mrs. Kerr this morning as another volunteer for our camp Mrs. Lamprey, Burlington's ESL Director also stopped by for our Morning Meeting and Dr. Chen, Burlington's new Assistant Superintendent also joined our Morning Meeting. The students love when new adults join our program to see how great we all are.
